Women of the ELCA of Israel's Creek Lutheran Parish
To mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ
We are a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit; we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world.
Israel Lights Plan for New & Exciting Year
The Israel Lights met on Saturday, May 17th with Betty Welsh as hostess.
The group made a profit of $440.35 on their geranium sale. Many thanks to those who supported this fundraiser.
A Thankoffering of $501.24 was sent to the Women of the ELCA toward the health initiative. The ladies plan to have another collection starting in October for Thanksgiving.
Health Kit Update: The group decided to forego asking for donations from the parish, but instead plan to shop for the items within the group itself and assemble them at their June 20th meeting.
School Kit Update: The group plans to start advertising for donations of school supplies August 3 through September 14. Watch your bulletins!
