Women of the ELCA of Israel's Creek Lutheran Parish

To mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ

We are a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit; we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world.

Israel Lights Plan for New & Exciting Year

The Women of the ELCA of Israel's Creek Lutheran Parish will meet on January 16th to plan another busy and exciting year.  The group has meetings planned for February, March, June, September, October, and November at 9:00 a.m. at Evangelical, Woodsboro.  Among the activities for this year are the continuing ministries of helping an adopted family, making and sending prayer shawls, building kits for Lutheran World Relief, and collecting Thankofferings for women and children projects.

The women will be planning another spring geranium sale as a fundraiser and many other events.

The group is inviting all women of the parish to join us on Saturday the 16th at 9:00 a.m. at Evangelical for our next Bible study, brunch, and business meeting hosted by Peggy Trimmer.

The Women of the ELCA has prayer shawls available for your friends and loved ones to have for comfort and warmth in prayer, helping them feel the warmth and closeness of the Lord when they are hurting in body, mind, or spirit. These prayer shawls are given at no cost to anyone whom you feel needs this gentle and loving presence of the Lord in their lives. To ask for a prayer shawl, please see Mitzi Smith, Pastor Dot, or any member of the Women of the ELCA.
